I'm Still Here!!!

Genesis 50:20 basically states (paraphrasing) "you intended for evil but God used it for good, in the saving of many." This verse is very powerful as you look at the story of Joseph (Genesis 37). To give a quick synopsis, Joseph is a dreamer and has wonderful dreams and visions. His brothers get jealous as he is also rewarded a coat of many colors. Because of this his brothers sell him into slavery. Later on, Joseph's father asks him to forgive his brothers. Joseph does as he has made it through what his brothers put him through that could have killed him.

Think about something that has happened in your life that could have killed you. Maybe you've contemplated suicide thoughts but you didn't go through with those plans. Maybe you survived almost getting murdered because of an environment you was in. Or maybe you're like my friend Erica who survived a serious car accident. If I'm not mistaken, the car flipped 2 or more times. Yet she survived it by the grace of God.

My friends, no matter what you survived you are still here for a purpose! God created you to fulfill a specific purpose while you are alive. That purpose cannot be filled if you're not here. Some of us have went through situations that should have killed us, but we are still here!

I encourage you today to first give God praise everyday for allowing you to be alive in spite of what has happened. Second, I encourage you to not see yourself as less than a child of God. Why would God see you as less than who you are if He spared your life? Last I encourage you to use your survival as a means of ministry. My friend who survived the car crash has the desire (based on our last time talking) to be a defense attorney. Because God spared her life she will be defending people who are innocent and treated unfair by our criminal system. Her ministry will impact many lives!!

You are still here by God's grace! God is worthy to be praised! Now walk in your calling and purpose!!!
