Twitter sermon from Ecclesiastes: "One life to live."

Wow! This is my first time blogging in a long time. For various reasons I decided to stop blogging and putting up a lot of facebook statuses. Now I"m ready to get back to blogging.

So tonight I'm watching baseball and the Lord leads me to Ecclesiastes, the latter part of chapter 8 and the beginning part of chapter 9 and while I am reading I am astonished by what this portion of scripture is discussing. I'm astonished!!! The focus scriptures are Ecclesiastes 8:10 through 9:12. The scripture basically talks about the reality that we only have one life to live. As I began to read this I began to tweet some things that the Lord was pouring in me to share! For the sake of not wanting to pile up people's timelines I decided that I would calm down after sharing so many. I feel compelled to share what I wrote on twitter to the entire world as it relates to the scripture I read.

"Just the idea that we all only have 1 life to live should force us to not hate or mistreat each other."

"While our eternal destination will not be the same, all of us have our date with death. No one will escape."

"Even though I believe in heaven and hell, I still wonder sometimes if after death we will ever see our family, friends, etc."

"Sorry to sound so solemn but this is something I think about sometimes. Makes me value my relationships and life way more."

"Life is too short for petty drama, senseless arguments and killing each other."

"Life is too valuable and precious for murdering one another. Why take a life? Once a life is taken there's no way for it to come back."

"I don't care how many apologies are given, NOTHING except God's comforting love can heal the heart of a family that has witnessed someone murdered."

"That family will never be able to talk to, love on or hear the voice of their family member gunned down. Value life."

"I don't do it as much as I should but tell people in your life that you love them while they can hear it."

"Ok one more thing: what hurts me tremendously is seeing someone not live out a full potential and get old not fulfilling their call."

"I believe everyone has a calling to fulfill that brings God glory. Your career can be your calling and still give glory to God."

"Too many people have let others dictate their calling and what they are capable of doing. You can do ALL things through Christ."

"Don't let anyone determine what you're able to do to make a difference in this world! The world needs your mark on it!!!"

Let me end by letting you know one thing: I LOVE YOU!!!!!
