Titles in the Church

I'll share the link on the bottom but this article from a website was talking about our obsession in the black church with titles. Why is it this way? I absolutely agreed with every point this man made in the article. I pray that our church leaders will focus significantly less on titles and positions and start to put more focus on the work that needs to be done. We have so much work that needs to be done in our communities and churches that we don't have time to get caught up in titles. As the article noted Jesus was never about titles. If you look in the old testament books, the prophets were never about calling them "prophet" so and so.

As leaders we must relinquish titles and be focused on the kingdom agenda, as defined in the Word of God! God's agenda is the ONLY agenda that we should be focused on. Everything else really does not matter. The title will speak for itself through your work!
